Privacy

Tegaki keeps what you do on your own device. This page says what that means.

Last updated 6 October 2026.

What stays on your device

Your progress, your settings and your drawings are kept in this browser’s storage on this device. They are never sent to us. There are no accounts and no cookies, and Tegaki works offline once it is installed.

When you save or load your progress as a file, the file is made and read on your device. When you share a drawing, the image is made on your device and handed to your device’s share sheet, or saved as a file. Nothing is uploaded.

What the host sees

Tegaki is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare receives the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the page asked for and your browser, so that it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not use these details to identify anyone.

Counting visits

We count visits to pages with Umami, which we run ourselves on a server at Google Cloud. It uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses. It records the page, the site that linked to it, the kind of browser and device, and the country, so that we can see which pages help learners. If your browser asks sites not to track you (“Do Not Track”), nothing is counted.

Children

Tegaki is made for learners of every age, children included. It collects no personal information from anyone, so it collects none from children.

Removing your data

Everything Tegaki keeps is on your device. To remove it, clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings, or remove the installed app. If you want to keep your progress, save it as a file first (in Progress).

Changes

If this changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
